International Space Station (ISS).

This is a 15 second exposure of the ISS going over Regina on September 7, 2010 at around 8:39pm (click for larger version). It’s crazy to think that such a symbol of human ingenuity and global unity flies over our heads quite often without most people knowing it. It’s speed is amazing. I highly recommend trying to catch a glimpse in your hood.

  1. this week is the closest that Jupiter will be to the earth in the next 12 years. you could step outside and see it any of the past few nights. its probably the brightest thing in the sky in your picture that isn’t the ISS. it is apparently the brightest thing in the sky that isn’t the moon. check it out.
